The goals of the program are to:

Division of space:

Eligible businesses:

  • Minority- and Women-owned, retail businesses

Ineligible businesses:

  • Food or beverage businesses
  • Franchises
  • Businesses that already have a storefront location in Raleigh

Hours of operation:

Lease term:

The standard lease is a 12-month lease term. 如果满足退出要求,可以选择提前退出课程. We are unable to offer lease terms of more than 12 months.

The next tenant opening will be in October 2024 unless otherwise noted. 

Pricing:

租户平面图从300到600平方英尺不等,租户租金为每年每平方英尺10美元(每月支付),每月额外支付公共区域维护费,以支付公共水电费. Rent and CAM fee combined will be approximately $400 - $800 per month, depending on the tenant’s square footage within the space. Rent and CAM fee include:

  • Basic utilities (water, sewer, electricity, trash pick-up)
  • Internet & Wifi
  • Monitored security system and always-on, remote-access camera
  • Weekly cleaning service

Security deposit:

Criteria to apply:

  • A business tax ID
  • The business use must be retail

  • Applicants must complete an interview with DRA and Wake Tech SBC staff 

If accepted, tenants are required to do the following:

  • Commit to a 12-month lease term
  • Work full-time in their business
  • Staff the shop and be open during the hours of operation: Wed - Sat (11am - 7pm); Sun (11am - 5pm)
